I’m so thankful for each eyebrow tutorial found online because every once in a while we need to have a little bit of refresher to see if we’ve updated our own eyebrow routine.
The Eyebrow Tutorial for Perfect Brows
Groomed eyebrows not only frame your eyes but it also frames your face and makes it seem brighter. Thanks to a lot of awesome eyebrow tutorials online it’s easier to let that information out and people actually respond by grooming their eyebrows. I love working on a client with groomed eyebrows because the makeup is easier to map out and it just gives you a better perspective of the face and the personality, after all, you want the overall makeup look to suit the person wearing it.
There are many ways you can do your eyebrows and I bet we all have our own eyebrow routine but every once in a while it’s worth looking at other people’s eyebrow process to see where we can improve on or if there’s a technique we’re missing out on. Much like how you have your own taste in clothes but you need to get updated with the trends no matter how classic your wardrobe is, it still needs an ounce of modernity to it. I found is this video by Cosmetics by Mackenzie quite helpful not only for beginners but for some of us who need to take a little refresher can get something out of this too.
Before we jump into the actual tutorial, I just want to give you the list of what you’ll need. Well, of course, you can use a different brand product, but to give you just a gist of what you need to create the perfect eyebrows; let’s go ahead and take a look.
Things you’ll need for this eyebrow tutorial:
- ABH Dipbrow
- ABH Brow Powder Duo
- Hard Candy Glamoflauge Concealer
- Maybelline Clear Mascara
- Spoolie and Angled Eyebrow Brush
- Flat Shader Brush
Step 1 Eyebrow Tutorial: Thinly Apply Powder Over The Eyebrow
Using a powder brush, dip the brush into a setting powder and lightly press it on the eyebrow this allows for more texture for the eyebrow products to hold on to and it also takes out the oil around that area which might ruin how your makeup holds.
Step 2 Eyebrow Tutorial: Brush The Hair Up
It’s best to brush the hair up before applying any product so you can see where you’re products will go and if you need to fill in areas that you don’t normally see when your eyebrow hairs are down.
Step 3 Eyebrow Tutorial: Outline The Eyebrow
Start by using an eyebrow pomade, in this eyebrow tutorial the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade was used with the help on the ABH angled brush, apply the pomade starting on the bottom part of the eyebrows to give it a shape. Lightly brush the product upward with a spoolie after for a more natural effect.
Step 4 Eyebrow Tutorial: Fill Eyebrow
Using an eyebrow powder, use the same angled brush and deposit powder pigments on the eyebrow to fill them in. The eyebrow tutorial used the ABH Duo Powder to create a more filled-in eyebrow.
Step 5 Eyebrow Tutorial: Precisely Define Eyebrow
Using the concealer and a flat shader brush, apply on the brow bone just below where you outline the eyebrows and blend. Do the same thing on top of the eyebrow to really define and give your eyebrow a pop. This also prevents the product from feathering or smudging especially in humid weather.
Step 6 Eyebrow Tutorial: Apply Eyebrow Gel
Using an eyebrow gel, set the eyebrow hairs but brushing it with the eyebrow gel wand upwards and across. The Maybelline Great Lash clear mascara was used to achieve this look, it works just the same and it’s cheaper too.
Here now is the finished look of the eyebrow with full makeup on, wear this with this year’s pantone color and you’ll definitely be on trend.

Easy as pie, it makes so much sense to lightly dust powder over the eyebrow area before putting anything on, especially since that area can get oily. I love that this tutorial is simple and easy, absolutely anyone can do this. Also, can I just say I really dig her matte black nail polish, I’m totally turning that into my own version of a sophisticated nail look.
